Garudasana Arms in Vajrasana with Toes Tucked Under

Garudasana is the eagle pose; Vajrasana is the thunderbolt pose. Tuck in your toes. Extend the arms horizontally out to the sides. Inhale the breath. Exhale deeply and quickly intertwine the arms, elbow over elbow, wrist, over wrist and palms together (SEE FIGURE 9-25). Inhale and feel the breath fill the area between the shoulder blades. Exhale and soften the shoulder area. Stretch the muscles of the back body. Stay for several breaths. Release and repeat by changing the arm that crosses over on top of the other arm.
