Sex. That little three-letter-word can stop many writers cold, whether it's their first novel or their hundredth. The idea of writing love scenes is difficult for a lot of romance authors. However, with the exception of some Inspiration Romances, most romance novels will include sexual tension, with the larger percentage including explicit, yet emotional, love scenes. Learning to write about sexual desire, allowing your reader to experience the titillation of your character's relationship, while writing it at a level that is comfortable to you, is a challenge but it is a crucial ingredient in a romance novel.
