From finding lost children to busting criminals for smuggling narcotics to controlling crowds, animals play a major role in law enforcement. K-9 dogs are used in search and rescue operations. Police officers use dogs to sniff out everything from bombs to LSD. Military personnel also work with a variety of animals, from flies to dolphins, to keep us safe. Then there are those who rescue pets from disaster areas, and others who relocate exotic animals from one zoo to another to populate the species. All of these rescue workers help humans and animals.
