It is not surprising that many women who felt disenfranchised and cast out by the patriarchal society in which they lived became ardent believers and supporters of Jesus. He treated women in an egalitarian way; He showed them love, kindness, and respect; He healed them of their diseases and afflictions; He invited them to become his followers. His fame soon spread, not just among women, but among all people, of all ages, and all walks of life.
