All wine grapes impart their distinctive characteristics to the wines made from them: body, flavor, texture — and, in the case of red wine grapes, color and tannins. Regardless of the winemaker's unique touch, the personality of the grape will be imprinted on the wine. You may not always see the grape names on the label, but each variety has contributed something special to the blend.
