What Instructions to Provide Your Family

It is important to leave instructions for your family so they know what needs to be done when something happens to you. It is equally important that these instructions be clear and easy to find. The first thing you need to do is to put the pieces of your puzzle in one place.

Chapter 2 provided you with step-by-step guidance on what information you need to gather about each piece of property you own. Throughout the rest of the book, you have made decisions regarding what type of plan to create and what information and instructions to include within the plan. By now your studies have resulted in the creation of a plan, and you have drafted documents that meet your wants and the needs of your loved ones.

It's not enough just to have a plan; you need to make sure that your family knows you have a plan. You don't have to tell your family exactly what your plan is, but they need to know that it exists. And, of course, your family needs to know where to find your documents and paperwork.
