Keeping Your Plans Up-to-Date

Once you have completed all your plans, don't simply tuck them away and assume you're finished. You should mark your calendar for a specific time every year — January, April after taxes, your birthday — to review your assets and determine whether you need to make any noteworthy additions or deletions. Are all the people you have included in your plans still living? Do you wish to keep the same individuals in your plan? Has there been a marriage, divorce, birth, or death that would affect your plans?

If you do an annual review, you can make adjustments, if needed, and be reassured that everything is in place for your family.
