Throughout history, virtually every culture has entertained visions of a divine realm populated by one or more beings with supernatural powers. Depicted in these divine beings are archetypes that transcend the boundaries of time and location. The great Mother Goddess, for example, appears as Mary, Demeter, Ceres, Isis, and many other female creator figures. Wiccans honor both a God and a Goddess; Neo-Pagans often recognize a number of deities. Some witches follow a specific faith and worship one or more gods or goddesses; some aren't religious at all.
