Cranberry Raspberry Sauce

This relish is a great answer for the child who seems not to like meat or fish. It adds fiber and gives anyone, young or old, plenty of delicious flavor. You may pour this into a gelatin mold when it is hot and let it set in the refrigerator until cold.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 16

Serving Size ¼ cup

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup cranberry-raspberry juice
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • ½ cup raspberry jam
  1. In a saucepan combine the sugar, water, and juice. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

  2. Add the cranberries to the simmering liquid and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes, until the berries pop.

  3. Stir the raspberry jam into the cranberries and remove them from the heat.

  4. Let the sauce cool to room temperature; then chill it in the refrigerator.
