Sweet Facts About Agave Nectar

Agave nectar, also known as agave syrup, is a sweetener made from the agave plant. It is about 1.5 times sweeter than sugar. Since it is available in liquid form it can dissolve faster than sugar, making it a popular choice for sweetening beverages. Light agave has the mildest flavor while amber and dark agave have a more pronounced caramel flavor.
