Affordable Accessories
Once you've decided on the bridesmaid dresses, it's time to find accessories that don't break the budget. It's best not to overdo the accessories. Find some stylish but comfortable shoes, a wrap, and some light jewelry for a classic look.
Shoes
Shoes are a challenge. For a uniform look, you can pick out one pair of shoes and ask each bridesmaid to buy a pair in her size. This means more work for you, unfortunately, and some bridesmaids might grumble about style, comfort, and price.
For a semi-uniform look, you can ask your bridesmaids to wear a certain color and allow them to pick their own shoes. Try to pick a color your bridesmaids will wear again. Metallic shades are popular, and they are appropriate for many bridesmaid dresses.
That's a Wrap!
Shawls, stoles, and wraps can be a lovely accessory for a wedding — and a necessity if you get married on a chilly day.
If you're having the attendants' gowns made, buy extra fabric and have matching wraps sewn. The cost will be low, but the look will be rich. Retail stores tend to place wraps on sale after holidays and proms.
Your attendants will thank you, especially if their gowns are strapless or have spaghetti straps. Even the young and toned don't always like their shoulders and arms.
