Vendor Confirmation

After planning so carefully and spending so much money to create the perfect wedding day, now is not the time to let any details slip through the cracks. As the day draws nearer, calling and e-mailing each vendor to finalize details, including the wedding-day itinerary, will provide you with peace of mind and assure you that your wedding plans are right on track.

Paperwork

How do I know when I need to pay the vendors and return the paperwork? Go through your signed contracts and paperwork and make a calendar showing when each vendor needs their payments and any necessary paperwork. Among other things, the DJ or band needs your list of musical selections, the caterer needs a guest count, and the baker needs what cake flavors you have finally decided upon.

Follow Up

How should I follow up and confirm the details with my vendors? As the big day gets closer, you should contact each vendor to confirm the details. At this point, a phone call is in order. In addition, each vendor should be supplied with a hard copy of the itinerary (sent via fax or e-mail) to be sure everyone knows the plan on the wedding day. Of course, if you make any changes to your services or products, there should be written confirmation.
