The Wedding-Day Itinerary
Where to go, how to get there, and when to be there — essential information that the wedding party, your parents, and the vendors all need to know. As the wedding day approaches, not only do you have paperwork to fill out and timelines to plan, but most importantly, you need to communicate this to all of the involved parties. A well-planned itinerary is the ideal way to do this.
How do I create my wedding-day itinerary? The following steps highlight the information you should include when developing a wedding-day itinerary.
Begin with the established start times of the ceremony and reception and work forward and backward to fill in the schedule.
Confirm arrival and setup times with the ceremony and/or reception venues.
Schedule departure and arrival times, being sure to account for travel time to and from all locations.
Schedule pre-ceremony events, such as hair and makeup and photo sessions.
Confirm arrival and departure times with the vendors.
Create a schedule for photography.
Determine which traditions will be incorporated into the ceremony and reception.
Confirm and review the timing for the formalities (grand entrance, toast, first dance, etc.) with the location manager and the entertainment.
Include detailed information on décor and setup plans.
Include wedding-day contact names and office and cell phone numbers for all vendors.
