Last-Minute Whoopsies

The perfect white gown may get dirty. Flowers may wilt. A button may fall off. A vendor may be caught in a traffic jam. No matter how carefully you've planned, these are the things that will keep you up at night wondering, “what if ….” Unfortunately, you can't see these last-minute whoopsies coming, but solving the problem and moving on when and if they happen will be easy if you are prepared.

The Gown

What if I stain or rip my gown on my wedding day? As part of your bridal emergency kit (page 160), you should include specific items for gown repair. Ask your bridal salon which cleaner should be used to clean emergency stains from your wedding gown; special garments require special care. Don't forget to include white towels to blot with and hold behind the stain while you clean it, a sewing kit, white chalk, and white powder.
