Even if you've read up on labor and delivery, took copious notes in every session of childbirth class, and questioned your friends on their birth experiences, you'll still find your labor is different in some way from that of others. Because every woman's labor is unique (as is each birth), comparisons of length, progress, and pain perception can be inaccurate and even discouraging. Follow your own path and you'll do fine.
