No doubt the legends and accounts of alleged vampires such as Erzébet Bathóry, Peter Plogojowitz, Arnod Paole, and all of the other fiends we've discussed hold a significant, if not dubious, place in the vampire realm's Hall of Fame or Shame, as the case may be. In the next chapter, we further explore those deviants whose criminally vampiric exploits caused panic among modern-day populations and whose actions to this day remain unfathomable in their ferocity and bloodlust.
