Forever and the Night

While literature and lore give us the ability to picture in our minds the most romantic and heinous vampires in fictional history, it's ultimately film and television that put a name to a face. In this instance … a fanged face. As you've likely learned throughout this tome, immortal nightcrawlers run the gamut of interpretation in the physical, spiritual, emotional, and metaphorical realms. But the bottom line is that no matter how frightening these interpretations are — they aren't real.

Or are they?

With all that you've now gleaned about immortals, it's time to examine the ups and downs of being part of the undead. Would you really want to be a vampire? What are the limitations and benefits? How can you tell if your neighbor is a nosferatu? All this and more in the next chapter.
