Marriages: Jane Wyman and Nancy Davis Reagan

Ronald Reagan was the only president to have been divorced. His first wife, Jane Wyman, was a well-known actress who starred in movies such as The Lost Weekend and The Yearling. She would later star in the television series Falcon Crest. The pair was married on January 26, 1940. Together, Reagan and Wyman had three children: Maureen Reagan, who died in 2001; Michael Reagan, who they adopted; and Christine Reagan, who died the day she was born in 1947. Reagan and Wyman divorced on June 28, 1948.

First Lady: Nancy Davis Reagan

Reagan's second wife was also an actress, although she was not as well known as his first wife. Nancy Davis met her husband when he was president of the Screen Actors Guild in 1951. They were married on March 4, 1952. Together, they had two children: Patti Davis and Ronald Prescott Reagan Jr.

Nancy Reagan caused controversy as first lady when she purchased new china for the White House while the country was experiencing a recession. She espoused the “Just Say No” campaign, which was aimed at helping kids say no to drugs. She was also known for using astrology throughout Reagan's time as president.

Reagan's chief of staff, Donald Regan, eventually resigned after a power struggle with Nancy over her use of astrology to influence the schedule.

Nancy Reagan hired astrologist Joan Quigley as a confidante after Reagan was almost assassinated. Quigley used astrology to affect the president's daily schedule. She had some of the most important events of the presidency timed down to the second. When Joan's influence was revealed, she was forced to leave. The whole situation became the source of jokes across the nation.
