Where to Stay

The Campania region is a tourist magnet, one that typically lures many of the world's richest and most famous travelers. There are bargains to be had, but don't expect to find many during the jam-packed summer months. If you prepare mentally to splurge a bit on the high life in Italy, then you will likely fare better when looking at hotel and restaurant rates.

The price code for the hotel listings below is $ = 200 or more per night, per room.

Hotel Amalfi

$

The rates at the Hotel Amalfi, in the town of Amalfi, look low, but that's because they are per person and not per room. Double that dollar sign if you are traveling as a couple. The hotel is right off the main piazza and within easy walking distance of the beach. It's also a good location if you plan to catch a nearby boat from the local pier out to Capri for the day.
