For 1,000 years, the centers of Torah were in Europe. Then, in less than a decade's time, every one of these centers for Torah learning was destroyed, each city rendered Judenrein (free of Jews) by the evil that was Nazi Germany. The incredible and ongoing rebirth of Torah today, in new lands, is a modern miracle.
