Living Life as an Artist of the Spirit
Even though the eagle warrior knows he has left behind the old dream and everyone who dreamed it with him, he also knows he is free to love more and better than ever before. He may be a ghost to other people — they will not be able to see who he really is — but he is one very happy ghost. He is the master of his intent, a lover of life, and a Toltec artist of the spirit. The dream of heaven on earth is the dream of unconditional love and acceptance for every part of creation, and a way of life for the eagle warrior.
The eagle warrior remembers that he came into this world to play, create, and love, and his work on the Toltec path has restored him to his original nature. For many warriors at this stage on their journey, the best play they can imagine is to continue to clean leftover mitote madness from their minds. Some are drawn to help others do the same, through writing, teaching classes, or personal apprenticeships. Other warriors are content to play at personal forms of creativity, such as their art, inspired relationships, music, environmental protection, political participation, or learning new skills.
Living in Unlimited Happiness
There is a myth in the dream of the planet that says you cannot be happy all the time. Humans have been taught they need to suffer and feel pain so that they will recognize and appreciate their moments of happiness. The Toltec artist of the spirit has broken that old agreement. He knows he actually can be happy all the time, and he is. He keeps his attention focused on his emotional body, and if he experiences feelings that make him unhappy, he knows he has been hooked one more time by his parasite.
In those parasite moments the warrior goes quickly within, to play and love in his inner world. He becomes the jaguar, stalks his prey (a lie from the parasite), devours it, and replaces it with the truth of love and acceptance. When his feeling body has returned to its happy state, the warrior moves on. He will not tolerate anything but the joy and freedom that is his nature. The artist of the spirit is making beautiful art with his life. His love is his brush, and his paints are the many wonderful and unique qualities life has given him to share in the world.
Living a Spiritual Life
The beautiful life lived by the Toltec warrior is always connected to the life force of spirit that is in and through all of creation. The love and happiness that he experiences radiates out from him, and resonates with the love animating the universe. He sees the beauty of spirit in every person, in nature and cities, in all creatures, and in the events of his life and the world. He knows what he wants and what he doesn't want. He uses the movement of spirit as feelings and truth in his body to inform and direct his life.
The artist of the spirit absolutely knows that he is a unique manifestation of the Divine. He expresses his uniqueness as his gift of gratitude for every moment of his life. By staying present in each moment, the warrior embraces his life fully, giving and accepting the gifts of abundance that are the nature of spirit.
