American Brined Pumpkin Seeds
You need to scrape your own pumpkin out for the seeds in this recipe. A small pie pumpkin is perfect.
SERVES 4
Rinse the pumpkin seeds and dry them overnight on paper towels.
Create a brine by mixing the salt with the water until it dissolves.
Soak the pumpkin seeds in the brine overnight.
Drain, but don't rinse, the pumpkin seeds and dry them on paper towels overnight.
Preheat oven to 250°F. Spread the pumpkin seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour.
