Other Positions
Still craving more variety but not quite ready to tackle the advanced positions yet? No problem. Your choices are limited only by your imagination. There are some other positions that you might want to try:
Scissors
The couple lies on their sides, with the man behind the woman and at a slight angle away from her. They then intercross their legs (she puts one of her legs in between his) so that they resemble a pair of scissors. This position allows for clitoral stimulation by the woman or her partner.
The Screw
The man kneels on the floor beside the bed (or stands, depending on the height of the bed). The woman lies on her side on the bed, with her knees drawn up toward her chest. The man enters her while she lies on her side. The creative penetration angle provides some unique sensations, and this position also is not very strenuous, especially for the woman.

Lying Down Face-to-Face
Both people lie on their sides, facing each other, with their legs intercrossed. Upside: intimate face-to-face contact. Downside: limited freedom of movement and thrusting ability. Note: This exact position is not in the Kama Sutra, but there is a similar pose called “Clasping Sideways” in which the lovers lie face-to-face fully stretched out against each other, with her legs open just enough for him to penetrate her.
Wheelbarrow
The wheelbarrow is a creative version of the standing rear entry. In this position, the woman leans toward the floor, and the man lifts her legs while she supports herself with her arms and hands. As you can probably guess from the name, this looks similar to an X-rated version of those old-fashioned wheelbarrow races that are a summer camp staple.

Some couples find the wheelbarrow position a little challenging. It can also be tricky if the woman is especially petite, or if there is a considerable height difference between the partners. In that case, it may help if the woman leans on a thick book or something else that will make her a bit taller.
Inverted Rear Entry
The inverted rear entry is a somewhat tricky position, and one that not everyone finds exciting. Both partners lie down on the bed, with the man underneath. The woman then lies on top of him, facing up, and the man enters her from underneath.
Kneeling with Woman Slightly on Top
A variation of the previously mentioned “sitting facing same direction” position involves the woman moving herself slightly up on the man, almost as if she's sitting in his lap, but remaining with her back to him. The man would have his legs folded underneath him. This is sometimes called the “Peas in a Pod” position.
