As mentioned earlier in this chapter, Tantrics believe that foreplay is a continuous thing that can occur at any time, not just right before intercourse. In Tantra, couples engage in foreplay virtually nonstop, by always making their partner feel special and doing little intimate gestures for each other. Here are some ways you can engage in foreplay at any time:

• Send love notes. Leave a little sexy note (you decide how racy you want to get) in your partner's pocket, briefcase, or purse. Include a little teaser about what you plan to do to your partner during your next in-person encounter. If you're feeling really risqué, perhaps you can tear a photo from an adult magazine blatantly illustrating exactly what you want to do with your partner — perhaps with a Post-It note saying, “Can't wait to try this with you!”

• Leave your partner a little “gift basket” of her or his favorite indulgent foods (especially aphrodisiacs) and perhaps a few naughty surprised like massage creams or adult toys.

• Call your partner at random times during the day, just to say hi and let them know you are thinking of her or him.
