If your chakras are out of whack, don't despair. You can take certain steps to help open the chakras, allowing them to better regulate the flow of energy. One way to open chakras is by employing mudras, the sacred Tantra hand movements and gestures. You sit in a comfortable position (traditionally, in the cross-legged yoga position). Then you move your hands and fingers into the proper mudra position corresponding to the specific chakras on which you want to focus. At the same time, you should alternate between chanting and meditating.
You can also open and stimulate the chakras by doing a chakra massage. This is a good technique for a couple to perform together, taking turns doing a chakra massage on each other. Have your partner lie down on her or his back (naked, preferably). You then start at the lowest chakra, massaging it for several minutes, and then working your way up, spending roughly the same amount of time on each chakra.
