Take It Outside
Many people find it thrilling to make love in the great outdoors. For one thing, outdoor settings like meadows, beaches, and mountains can be extremely romantic. They can also provide a sense of peace and calmness that help people relax. In addition, this type of scenery can provide a kind of cinematic backdrop — you almost feel as if you are acting out that sexy “making love on the beach scene” from your favorite movie.
If you brave the great outdoors for sexual escapades, use some planning and precautions. Steer clear of areas where wild animals roam. And it is a good idea to lay down some blankets or towels to prevent sand, dirt, or other material from getting into the cracks and crevices of your body. And, needless to say, you should familiarize yourself with the characteristics of poison ivy plants.
Unfortunately, for many people, this is not really a practical option. City dwellers could find this especially challenging. One option is to do some furtive fondling while discreetly covered up by a blanket in a semi-public location like the secluded area of a park. Even rural residents may not find the outdoors sex romp to be so easy — these days, even rural areas tend to have more than their share of passersby who could inadvertently interrupt your romantic romp.
One option: If you have a pool or hot tub, trying engaging in sexual activities in or around these areas at night, when you won't be easily spotted.
You can also compromise by choosing a location that is outside but still very close to the house, such as a backyard hammock or the swing on your front porch. For increased privacy, a rooftop deck or second-story porch can offer the best of both worlds.
If you decide to engage in outdoor sex, you should keep in mind that very few exposed areas are completely “private” these days. Security cameras and other high-tech devices are almost everywhere, so it is possible that “eyes” (both the human and electronic variety) can easily be watching you, even if you think nobody is around.
On the Road
Many people find it exciting to engage in some illicit lovemaking while in a car. (Although some men find the idea of receiving fellatio while driving to be a turn-on, this is — needless to say — dangerous, and it is far wiser to pull off the road first.) All Around the House
Sometimes a change of scenery can be as simple as taking your tryst to a different part of the house. Most people have sex in the same exact room (usually their bedroom) every single time they make love. Boring! Think about the sexiest movies you have seen, where the hot-and-heavy “I've gotta have you right now!” scenes always take place in the kitchen, in the elevator, or maybe even at the office.
Try heading into the kitchen — for added excitement, pretend you are at a dinner party and someone can burst into the kitchen at any minute. (Of course, if you are very brave, you could try this at a real dinner party where someone actually may burst in at any minute.) Or head to the couch and imagine you are two teenagers who could be caught by your parents at any moment.
If your living room has a fireplace, it can be very romantic to spread out a plush, cozy blanket and make love in front of the fire. For those with a home office, you can act out your “boss and secretary” role-playing fantasies in that room, while enjoying the added advantage of the benefits of office furniture, such as the wheeled leather office chair or the huge desk.
