You can do these on the grill or on the frying pan with a skim of oil. One apple provides enough natural fructose for four people.

1 tart green apple, peeled, cored, and diced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 green onions, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
1 pound lean ground pork
Using a fork, lightly blend all ingredients together.
Heat grill to high. Form meat and apple mixture into burgers. Sear quickly, turn heat to low, and cook for 5 minutes per side.
Ground Meat
Ask the butcher for the very leanest pork to grind, or do it yourself in the food processor. It's a great addition to spaghetti sauces, stews, and soups. Start with meatballs and burgers. Your sugar-free sauces, such as chili or barbecue, will be great garnishes.
