Popcorn with Hot-Pepper Butter

Try something a little different for a snack. You can substitute other seasoned salts, such as garlic, onion, or lemon-pepper seasoning.

Yields ½ cup of pepper butter (for 4 cups of popcorn); serving size 1 cup pepper-buttered popcorn

½ cup unsalted butter

½ teaspoon celery salt

1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

1 package plain or low salt microwave popcorn

  • Mix the butter, celery salt, and cayenne pepper in a cup and heat them in the your microwave for just a few seconds.

  • Blend well. Then pop your corn and toss it in a bowl with the butter sauce.
