Your teachers are the bosses. But here is the thing: They also have lives outside of school, too. They don’t just live at school to serve their students (although most are extremely passionate about what they do!). At the end of each day of work, teachers go home, do laundry, take showers, talk on the phone, watch TV, surf the Internet, exercise, and eat dinner. Whether it seems like it or not, teachers are people, too, and are ultimately there to educate, support, and help you. Don’t forget: Teachers are doing their jobs but they do have a life outside of school. So it is very important, in fact essential if you want to succeed, that you show respect for your teachers and realize that they are people, too.
