While the transcript is undeniably the most important component of your college application, being just a student is not your entire job. You need to find other activities to participate in outside of class that do not include watching TV, playing video games, or surfing the Internet. So, what can you do? Pick one activity and do it well. Or participate in a few activities but be sure you are doing more than just showing up. Join a club, sport, or organization and stick with it throughout school. Also, try to find time to get a job and volunteer as well during your time outside of school. Piece of cake, right?
