Working for a nonprofit organization is a wonderful experience, but it's very different from working for a for-profit company. There are special rules, mostly with respect to compensation, and a unique sense of shared purpose and shared mission rarely found in other sectors. Since the overall environment is different, so are the ways in which that environment is managed.
