Rather than offering your services to a different client each week and catering large events, you might choose to be a personal or private chef. A personal chef usually cooks for one client a day, making a week's worth of meals at a time that can be easily reheated or eaten as is. Personal chefs usually work on their own, set their own schedules, and, in general, have a lighter workday and less stress than most caterers. Private chefs work part-time or full-time for a particular client, cooking for them, their friends, and family.
