Whether you're seeking a new job, planning to start your own company, or taking on a new project, this spell can help you make a successful start. Nothing can be as frightening as the prospect of starting something new. Most people wonder if they're smart enough, experienced enough, or talented enough to make a go of it. But if you listen to your fears, you'll never know how successful you might have been.
An aspiring young author had written a book, but he didn't think it was good enough to be published. When he tossed it in the garbage, his wife retrieved the manuscript. Not only was the book published, it became a bestseller and a movie. The author? Stephen King. The book?
Yellow is the color of optimism and creativity. It also corresponds to the solar plexus chakra, the center of self-confidence. Choose a word that represents your goal or describes the endeavor you are about to undertake. Then design a magic sigil with the letters in that word (see Chapter 3 for instructions) and draw it on the paper. Hold your intention in your mind while you create the sigil and project your thoughts into the drawing. If you like, decorate it with pictures and other symbols that relate to your venture.
Nine days before the full moon, lay your sigil face up on your altar. Set the crystal on top of the sigil. On the night of the full moon, burn the drawing while you imagine yourself succeeding at your new effort, thereby releasing your intention into the cosmic web. Carry the crystal in your pocket, purse, or briefcase if you wish, or set it in your workspace.
