Keep numbers and numerological cycles in mind, too, when you're doing magic spells. Remember, numbers are symbols, and your subconscious quickly recognizes the inherent meanings within symbols. And, as already discussed, numbers possess specific vibrations that can enhance your spells. Refer to the table on page 67 to determine which numbers are best suited to your intentions.

Lucky Numbers

Here's an easy way to incorporate the power of numbers into your spells. Decide which number relates to your objective. Two, for example, is the number of partnerships, so it's the logical choice when you're doing love spells. If you're making a love talisman, place two items in a pouch, perhaps a piece of rose quartz and a red rosebud. Or burn two candles, one to represent each person in the relationship.

You can also tie your intentions into knots. Let's say you want to stabilize your finances. The best number for this purpose is four. You could make a money charm and secure the pouch with a gold ribbon. Tie four knots in the ribbon and concentrate on your goal each time you tie a knot. Or tie a ribbon around your bills, using four knots to limit the outflow of money.

Your Days Are Numbered

When doing spells, consider the personal year cycle you're in at present. You'll get the best results if you time your spells to correspond to the nature of your current cycle. Spells to promote creativity, for instance, will be more successful if done during a three year than during a four year. Love spells can benefit from the energy present during a two or a six year.

Of course, you may not want to wait until the ideal year rolls around to perform a magic spell. If time is of the essence, you could do a spell when the month, day, and year add up to a number that corresponds to your intention. Let's say you're working on a group project and want to ensure that the participants cooperate effectively. Six is the number of give and take. Therefore, May 1, 2007 (5/1/2007) would be a good time to do your spell because the numbers add up to fifteen and reduce to six.

The day of your birth is also an auspicious day. If you were born on the eighth of the month, eight is one of your lucky numbers. By doing spells on the eighth of any month, you tap the fortunate aspects of your birth number.
