A Subjunctive Matter

• Dudo que este empleo pague mucho.I doubt this job pays much.

• Es malo que nosotros no estemos listos.It's bad that we aren't ready.

• Es posible que el presidente no esté en la Casa Blanca, pero no lo creo.It's possible the president isn't in the White House, but I don't believe it.

• Me gusta que ella viva en este vecindario.I like that she lives in this neighborhood.

• Los estudiantes piden que el director de la escuela sustituya al nuevo profesor por otro.The students ask that the principal substitute the new teacher with some other.

• Yo dudo que sea posible entrar por esta puerta sin ningún ruido.I doubt that it's possible to enter through this door without any noise.

• No hay duda de que la película empiece en un momento.There's no doubt that the movie will begin in a moment.

• Es interesante que vosotros paguéis tanto dinero por estos boletos.It's interesting that you (would) pay so much money for those tickets.
