New Hampshire Goulash
Heat the oil in a large, heavy skillet on medium heat, and brown the meat well on all sides. Add all the remaining ingredients except the sour cream and noodles; mix well. Cover and cook at a low simmer for about 2½ to 3 hours, until beef cubes are tender.
Stir in the sour cream just before serving (if using). Serve over hot buttered noodles.
For a nice variation to this recipe, try substituting cooked rice for the noodles.
