Slow Glogg
This hot drink has a rich texture from the unfiltered apple juice. Try to get freshly pressed apple juice, which is more available in the autumn.

Ingredients
- 4 cardamom pods
- 3 sticks cinnamon bark
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 quarts unfiltered apple juice
- ½ pound white raisins
- 2 oranges
- 1 fifth dark rum
- 1 fifth brandy
Remove the seeds from the cardamom buds. Break the cinnamon sticks.
Combine cardamom seeds, cinnamon sticks, cloves, nutmeg, juice, and raisins and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours.
Quarter the oranges. Combine the juice mixture with orange quarters, rum, and brandy in the slow cooker.
Cover and heat on a low setting for 3 to 4 hours.
