Spicy Sunday Tea

This aromatic tea will not only give your home a lovely scent while you cook it, but it will also warm you up on the inside.

Yields about 9 cups

Cooking time: 3–4 hours

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Attention: Moderate

Pot size: 3–5 quarts

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon whole cloves

6 teaspoons tea

8 cups water

1 cup sugar

1 lemon

2 oranges

1. Tie the cinnamon, cloves, and tea in a loose cloth bag. Place the bag in the slow cooker.

2. Boil 2 cups of the water. Pour it over the spice bag in the slow cooker and let this steep 5 minutes.

3. Add the remaining water and sugar to the slow cooker. Cover and heat on a low setting for 2 to 3 hours.

4. Extract the juice from the lemon and oranges. Half an hour before serving, remove the spice bag and add the juices.

Step One: Make a List

The first thing you should do is make a list of all the preparations you need for your party. List ingredients, decorations, cookware, and anything else you might need. Check off the boxes as you go, and on party day, take joy in throwing the list away.
