Meatball Sandwiches

A 38-ounce bag of Rosina Italian Style frozen fully cooked meatballs contains 72 meatballs, so you can stretch this beyond 8 sandwiches. In fact, there's enough for making 8 sandwiches and later warming up the leftovers to serve over pasta. Serve the sandwiches along with a romaine hearts salad tossed together with Italian dressing.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 8

  • 1 (38-ounce) bag frozen, fully cooked meatballs
  • 1 (48-ounce) jar pasta sauce
  • French bread or garlic toas
  • Freshly grated Parmesan-Reggiano cheese, to taste
  1. Put the frozen meatballs in the slow cooker. Pour the pasta sauce over the meatballs.

  2. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meatballs are thawed and heated through.

  3. Serve the meatballs and sauce between 2 slices of French bread or garlic toast.

  4. Grate Parmesan-Reggiano cheese to taste over the meatballs.
