Vests of different styles seem to come in and out of fashion, but they never completely go away. Perhaps that is because there are so many different things you can do with vests. They can be dressy or casual, appliquéd, embroidered or painted, with or without pockets, ties, and lapels. And all can be made from one simple, easily modified pattern.
