Your skirt is going to look nearly finished at this point. Try it on again, and pin up the hem as described in Chapter 15 for the dress. Once it is hemmed, there are just a few more details to take care of.

You may need to add snaps, hooks and eyes, or a button at the waistband. This will depend on your pattern and your personal tastes. If your skirt has a slit, you will need to finish it. Generally this is done by pressing under the seam allowance from the end of the stitched seam to the bottom of the skirt. Turn the edge of the seam allowance under, and stitch it down.
