Create Your Own Subliminals
Subliminals are another form of self-hypnosis that you can listen to any time during the day, no matter what you are doing. Subliminals are suggestions that are often masked by music or other distractions. The concept is that if you are not listening to the suggestions consciously, you will not fight them. Since you are listening to other distractions, such as music, noises, binary beats, or even other voices, you are not hearing the suggestions directly but are receiving them subconsciously. This way the suggestions enter directly into your subconscious mind without hindrance. This is like doing your homework while there is a television program playing in the background. Although you are focusing on your task at hand, everything that is being played on the television is going right into your subconscious mind without being challenged. Your conscious mind can only do so many things at once and therefore allows the background stimuli to enter.
To make your own subliminals, record your entire session onto your computer mixing device or someplace where you can add several tracks to it. Normally when you make your MP3s or CDs on your computer you would mix your track of background music softly in the background so you can hear the voice giving the suggestions over the music. When making a subliminal, however, you raise the background music to mask your voice so that the words cannot be easily heard. You may even want to insert background noises such as drums or even the sound of a metronome.
When creating your subliminal CDs or MP3s, be sure not to use any phrases having to do with being sleeping or deep relaxation. This way the suggestions can be listened to throughout your entire day as background sound whether you are working, watching television, cooking, or even driving a car.
Another way to make subliminals is to record your session; however, rather than adding a track of music to mask it, record several other vocal sessions playing simultaneously with yours. It should sound like being in a room full of people with five conversations going on at once. If you listen to one conversation in the room you will be able to focus on that one conversation; however, the other four conversations tend to blend into each other and are shut out by the conscious mind. Since the subconscious mind can do unlimited tasks simultaneously, it receives the suggestions from the other four conversations without hindrance. So by giving five scripts simultaneously, the conscious mind cannot rebel against all of them and most of the suggestions will reach the subconscious mind.
The advantage of this is you can make five sessions that are exactly the same, only stagger them slightly on your mixing board so that they sound garbled when played together, or you can actually make five completely different sessions so there will be no chance your conscious mind can follow them. Although making subliminals with five or more different voices may be more effective than conventional subliminals with music, you will find the ones with relaxing music, waterfalls, and nature sounds to be much more enjoyable.
