Relieve Migraines
This session is designed to help relieve or eliminate migraine headaches. Once again, it is important before using this script, especially if you suffer from chronic migraines, to check with a medical professional to ensure that your migraines are not signifying a serious medical condition.
I would like you to think about the inconvenience you are feeling right now and imagine it as an object … It can be a football or a baseball or even a Frisbee … I want you to take that object and throw it away … releasing you from all the pain … just watch it sail out of sight and out of your life. You do not need the inconvenience of a headache … Any time you feel a headache coming on, you release it in the same manner.
Another thing you will do in the future as a signal or an immediate release cue is to place your fingertips on the back of your neck and gently apply pressure … feeling the tension melt away … When you begin to feel this type of inconvenience come on … apply gentle pressure and you will feel yourself immediately relaxing. You will take a deep breath, relaxing the muscles and pressure, making it not able to materialize.
Relax and shape and form the headache and throw it away. As you relax you do not need the headache. Anytime you feel a headache coming on, you release it. Place the tips of your fingers on the back of your neck and apply a very gentle pressure and the tension goes away.
