Choose to Be Healthy

Everything begins with a choice. You make a choice to be active, and you make a choice to be inactive. The following scripts will help you along your path to being healthy; however, they also require you to make a choice.

You have come to this point in your life where you have decided to be healthy. For whatever reason, you realize that now you must make a conscious choice to change the way you have been living or maybe even thinking and replace it with positive actions.

Your past is behind you. Keep in mind that each and every breath you take is a brand new one. This very breath you are taking right now has never been taken before. It is completely unique from the last one. You have control over each new breath, whether you make it a long breath or a short one. You even have the control to hold your breath. Just as each new breath is not like the one before and can be changed at a moment's notice, so can you control the future of your health.

Being healthy is a matter of choice. You must choose to be healthy. And in order to do that you must be constantly vigilant in whatever suggestions you allow your mind to accept. Everything in life starts with a thought. If someone were to tell you all day long that you looked sick, you would eventually begin to feel sick if you allowed yourself to accept those suggestions. Even though that may not happen, your subconscious mind is constantly being challenged by suggestions that can cause you to be unhealthy. Suggestions come through the television and radio on a daily basis from pharmaceutical ads suggesting that you may be sick.

You hear suggestions by friends, coworkers, classmates, family, in the supermarket, and virtually anywhere you go. You even give yourself many suggestions on a daily basis that may not be healthy.

From this point forward you will practice thought stopping. At any time that you may hear a negative suggestion about the way you look, feel, act, or anything about your health, you immediately eliminate that suggestion by saying out loud the word cancel and then replacing it with a positive thought.

Any time that you find yourself saying a negative statement, you will immediately end it in a positive manner, and if you cannot find a positive way to end it, you will simply not finish it at all.

You now screen your thoughts. You think positive thoughts of yourself, always thinking of yourself as a healthy person. Even if you are not healthy presently, you will now think of yourself as healthy. You imagine yourself as healthy. You act as if you are a healthy person.

Take a moment right now and imagine yourself as if you are standing right in front of yourself as a healthy person. Imagine yourself as the goal you. See yourself in as much detail as possible with a big smile on your face, feeling wonderful. This image you are imagining of yourself right now is you. Be that person. Congratulations on your new, healthy life.
