If you took the time to answer the questions truthfully, your score should closely reflect your level of self-esteem. Measuring self-esteem is a tricky and sometimes inaccurate task. To get the most accurate reading, the person taking the assessment should be completely unaware that her or his self-esteem is being assessed. Since you picked up a self-esteem book, this is not completely possible. If you look back at the assessment, you will see that nowhere is self-esteem mentioned. This was done to try to elicit the most honest response from you.
Most people who take the assessment score in the 60 to 79 range. If you scored higher, the score reflects that you have a healthy view of yourself and that you may only have one or two areas on which you would like to work. If you scored lower, the score reflects that you may not have a healthy view of your abilities, your gifts, your accomplishments, and your dealings in the world. Do not despair.
