Fitting Integrity into Your Life

Integrity gives your life meaning. It gives you the opportunity to look at what you value, what you cherish, what you hold most dear, and ask the question, “What am I willing to do to protect the things that give my life meaning while protecting my integrity?” That is sometimes not an easy question to answer.

Integrity gives you a chance to see how much courage you have. Are you willing to make the hard decisions and speak the hard truth to protect your integrity? Integrity gives you the opportunity to act. It is not a philosophy of only words; it is a philosophy of action. You can't profess to have integrity vocally and disregard the way you treat others. Integrity gives you the opportunity to prove your resolve. On a daily basis, you are given the opportunity to answer the question, “Am I really a person of integrity?”

Many people see integrity as a way of life while others see it as a way of life when others are looking. You can't have it both ways. Integrity is about consistency in word and deed. It is about who you are inside and how your values and ethics manifest themselves in the world.
