Although many speak of the horrors of the Holocaust, few speak of the holy people who laid down their lives for others in the camps. The following accounts detail the lives of a small sampling of those who bore witness to this statement from the Talmud: “Whoever saves a single life saves the world entire.” Whether they were forging baptism documents to save lives or bringing comfort to those dying in the camps, these saints sought to do all that they could during this time of pain.
