Interrogative Pronouns

The Russian interrogative pronouns kto (who) and chto (what) change according to case. The interrogative pronouns kakoj (which, what kind) and chej (whose) change according to gender, number, and case.

In questions, verbs agreeing with kto are used in masculine, and verbs agreeing with chto are used in neuter: Kto napisal? Chto upalo?

Exercise 33: Asking Questions

Ask questions about the following phrases. If it's a regular adjective, ask Kakoj? If it's a possessive adjective or a possessive pronoun, ask Chej? Remember to agree the interrogative pronouns with each noun's gender and number.

Ask questions to get the underlined words in each sentence as the response. Remember to use each interrogative pronoun in the appropriate case.
