Blues piano is full of riffs, embellishments, turnarounds, and endings. In the following two chapters, you will learn some of these tricks of the trade, which include bluesy runs up and down the keyboard, embellishments, and other fancy musical decorations. When used properly, tremolos or rolls, grace notes, glissandos, dynamic shifts, accents, turn-arounds, and endings can really make your music come alive. All of the musical examples in this chapter can also be applied to rock music.
