In-n-Out Double-Double Burger
Give this recipe a try—it will become one of your favorite ways to prepare a hamburger.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 1
- 1 plain hamburger bun
- 1/3 pound ground beef
- 2 slices American cheese
- 1 tablespoon Thousand Island salad dressing
- 1 slice fresh tomato
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1 thin slice of onion
Preheat a frying pan or the grill. Lightly toast both halves of the hamburger bun and set aside.
Divide the beef into 2 even portions and form into patties. Season the patties with salt and pepper. Cook for 4–5 minutes per side.
Place a slice of cheese on each hamburger patty and melt the cheese.
Assemble from bottom to top: bun, salad dressing, tomato, lettuce, burger, onion, burger, and then bun top.
